Balkan Smallgoods was opened in 1960,one of the first businesses to be opened in Springvale by Milan and Vesa Rakidžić.
Sadly Milan passed away in 2000 and his wife Vesa continues the family business with the help of their daughter Desa as business manager.

We stock fresh meat such as pork, lamb, veal, beef, homemade ćevapi and pork ribs.
Balkan has their own smokehouse where the meat products are smoked by natural sawdust in the old traditional way. Products such as smoked hocks, sausages, bacon, smoked pork neck, prusuta, chabaj debricini, also 3 kinds of Hungarian meats, 4 kinds of kransky, koolin salami (1st quality), ham, bratwurst freshly made, liverwurst, black pudding, white pudding, press wurst, chicken roll, mortadella, Danish salami, Hungarian salami, frankfurts, lux ham.
European products such as biscuits, coffee, teas, fruit drinks, spices, chocolates, home made pasta, cheese, honey, lollies, relish, gherkins, roast peppers, euro style tomato peppers filled with cabbage.
On Tuesdays and Saturdays we have hot roast pork and German meatloaf available.
